Ernest Richard "Ernie" Clark, a beloved brother, uncle, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 31, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on April 14, 1952 to his parents Billy Gene and Mildred Lucile (Owens) Clark, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Ernie lived most of his life in Camby, where he was known for his warm spirit and unwavering kindness.

A proud graduate of Decatur Central High School in 1970, Ernie went on to spend two years at Purdue University, laying the foundation for a fulfilling career. For over 30 years, he diligently served as a Deputy Township Assessor for Pike, Washington, and Center Township, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues and community. In his later years, Ernie found joy in his work at Guts before retiring in 2020.

As a dedicated member of the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707 for 50 years, Ernie carried the values of brotherhood and service with him throughout his life. He was also a devoted member of Fairfield Friends Church, where he found community, comfort, and connection.

Ernie had a deep love for the Indianapolis Colts, proudly holding season tickets and cheering for his team with fervor. He also delighted in creating magical memories with his family, taking his nieces and nephews on unforgettable trips to Disney World - adventures they will treasure forever.

Ernie is survived by his beloved brothers, William Clark (Dianna) of Indianapolis and Donald Clark Sr. of Indianapolis. He leaves behind a legacy of love, remembered by his niece, Melody Evans, and his six devoted nephews: William, Donald Jr., Christopher, Jason, Jeremy, and Matthew Clark. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews who brought immense joy to his life.

Ernie was preceded in death by his parents, as well as two brothers, Ronald and Robert Clark, who welcomed him with open arms.

A private family viewing will be held at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Moooresville.

In these moments of remembrance, his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched, reminding us to cherish every moment and spread kindness wherever we go.
