Elman Thomas Scott, 88 years of age passed away Sunday, December 14, 2008. He was born July 12, 1920 in Collinsville, IL to the late Raymond and Tina (Dillman) Scott. Elman married the late Frances (Baldwin) Scott on May 31, 1952.
Elman has lived in Mooresville, IN since 1959; in Indianapolis, IN for 15 years; and in Paoli, IN for 18 years. He was a 1941 Paoli High School Graduate and was also an US Army Veteran in WWII. He was a member of the Eternal Life Baptist Church and the International Order of Odd Fellows. Before retiring in 1985, he was a Carpenter for Everett I. Brown Architects in Indianapolis, IN for 13 years. He was previously employeed by Modern Structure in Indianapolis, IN for 20 years.
Elman is survived by 5 Children: Raymond Tom Scott of Waverly, IN, Julia Parrett of Mooresville, IN, Tina Klare of Sheridan, IN, Linda Marlette of Greenfield, IN, and Elaine Bone of TX; and also several Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren.
There will be calling hours for Elman from 4-8pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2008 and also from 9-10am, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary with Don Endsley to officiate. Elman will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery and Memorial Contributions may be made to the Eternal Life Baptist Church or Gideon Memorial Bible Program.
