Ellen E. (Brown) Edwards, 65, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on December 15, 2017. She was born to the late Keith Brown and Jacqueline (Fletcher) Knight on August 1, 1952 in Corpus Christi, TX. She graduated from Monrovia High School in 1970 and earned her LPN Degree from Ivy Tech. She is widowed from Jerry Edwards.

Ellen worked as a LPN most recently for Nurse Finders and previously for IU Hospital and other companies. She is a member of Mars Hill Free Methodist Church. She was a manager of Seeds of Hope in Indianapolis and volunteered with Dove Recovery Home in Indianapolis. She lived in Indianapolis for most of her life.

Ellen is survived by her loving son, John R. Shirley of Indianapolis; a loving granddaughter, Peightyn Shirley; three loving brothers, Albert and Terry Brown and Grover Knight; and a loving sister, Sheryle Cullen.

Pastor Arlene Weigand will officiate Ellen's celebration of life memorial service at 2 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2017 in Mars Hill Free Methodist Church, 3900 S. Farnsworth St., Indianapolis, IN 46241 with calling starting at 1 p.m.
