Ella Knowlton

Ella M. Knowlton, 84 of Mooresville, IN passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007. She was born February 6, 1923 in pear Valley, TX to the late Albert M. Sauders and the late Florence (Blair) Saunders. She married Charles W. Knowlton on March 17, 1945. Ella lived in Mooresville, IN for 48 years and in Pear Valley, TX for 18 years. She was a member of the New Life Baptist Church in Brooklyn, IN. She was also a life member of the Mooresville VFW Ladies Auxilary Post #1111; she enjoyed arts, painting, and sewing; and before retiring in 1981, she was an Inspector for Federal Mogul in Mooresville, IN for 13 years. Previously, she was a Beautician for 20 years in Indianapolis, IN. Ella is survived by her Husband, Charles W. Knowlton of Mooresville, IN; 5 Children: Barbara Heath of Mooresville, IN, Charles "Buzz" M. Knowlton of Mooresville, In, Sharon Tipmore of Indianapolis, IN, Dan "Sam" Knowlton of Martinsville,IN, and Vickie Gipson of Danville,IN; 7 Grandchildren; 9 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Brother, Guy Saunders of TX. She is preceded in death by 7 Brothers: Aubrey, A.V., Albert, Carl, Donnie, and Billy Saunders; and 2 Sisters: Lois Keesee and Wanda Phillips. Calling hours for Ella will be from 4-8pm, Tuesday, May 8, 2007 and the funeral will be at 11am, Wednesday, May 9, 2007 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Mark Wooley will be officiating the service. Ella will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery.
