Elder Jimmy William Parker, 78, Stout, Ohio, died on January 2, 2008. He was born on October 10, 1929 in Gallatin, TN to the late Thomas and Bessie (Conyer) Parker. He married Thelma (Baskerville) Parker on June 10, 1950 and she survives. He was Pastor and founder of Old Zion Baptist Church in Ohio. Previously, he was a steel worker for Bridgeport (Olin) Brass in Indianapolis, IN for 32 years, retiring in 1983. Although he had been living in Stout, Ohio for the last year, he and his wife had lived in Indianapolis, IN from 1951-2006. Besides his wife, survivors include 4 children: Pat (Dennis) Lashbrook of Mooresville, IN, Marilyn (John) Sego of Martinsville, IN, Rita (Randy) Bilyeu of Stout, OH, Larry (Gina) Parker of Fishers, IN;13 Grandchildren, 11 Great Grandchildren; 1 Brother: Billy Parker of Indianapolis; 1 Sister: Alma Keen of Mooresville, IN. He was preceded in death by 2 Brothers: Robert & Russell Parker and 2 Sisters: Ruby Brummett and Gladys Shoulders. Visitation will be from 4-8pm, Friday, January 4, 2008 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 10am, Saturday, January 5, 2008. Jimmy Whitney and Richard Jenkins will conduct the services. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery.
