Edward Eaton

Edward J. Eaton, 74, of Martinsville, IN died January 18, 2005. He was born September 9, 1930 to the late Edward J. Eaton Sr. and Virginia (McLaughlin) Willingham. He was a 1948 graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, IN where he resided for 45 years. He was married to Lavone (Smallwood) Eaton July 26, 1975. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was a member of Carpenter's Union Local #60 and a member of Knights of Columbus #437 in Indianapolis. He was a carpenter for James Held Company in Indianapolis, IN for 7 years before retiring in 1982. He is survived by Spouse: Lavone (Smallwood) Eaton of Martinsville, IN; 7 Children: Michael Eaton of Indianapolis, IN; Joseph Eaton of Texas; Marlene Reed of Avon, IN; Kathleen Phillips of Mooresville, IN; Patricia Schnarr of Greenwood, IN; Daniel Eaton of Brown County; John Eaton of Florida; 3 Step Children: Gary Richardson of Germany; David Richardson of Florida; Tricia Whelan of Maryland; 24 Grandchildren and 4 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister: Ann Arthur of Florida. He is preceded in death by 1 Brother: David Eaton. Visitation is 11am-12:30pm Saturday, January 22, 2005 at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 1pm Saturday, January 22, 2005 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church. Father Dennis O'Riley will be officiating. Memorial Contributions can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
