Edgar Marr Sr., 92, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2013. Edgar was born to Dewey Edgar Marr & Sarah E. (Turner) Warren on February 12, 1921. Edgar was a World War II Navy Veteran. Edgar married Violet Louise (Davis) Marr on April 30, 1946. Edgar was an Inspector for Allison Plant 5 in Indianapolis, IN for 25 years, retiring in 1981. He was a member of Victory Chapel Community Church in Noblesville, IN. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Masonic Lodge #669. He has lived in Indianapolis, IN for most of his life. Edgar is survived by his two sons, Edgar Marr Jr. and Jeffrey L. Marr, both of Indianapolis, IN; and two grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Marr and Joshua G. Marr. Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, Dewey Edgar Marr and Sarah E. Warren; wife, Violet Louise Marr; two sons, James Sampson Marr and Paul Robert Marr; a brother and three sisters. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Pastor Andrew Marshall will officiate the 11 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary.
