Edgar Soots

Edgar Soots, 83, of Camby, IN, passed away peacefully with family by his side on December 12, 2013. Edgar was born to the late Harold and Vada (Griffith) Soots on May 27, 1930 in Camby, IN. He was married to the late Hazel (Murray) Soots. Edgar was a Korean War Army Veteran. Edgar was Owner-Operator of Dependable Scavenger Service for 43 years, retiring in 2000. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to spend time with family and the grandkids. He has lived in Camby, IN all of his life. Edgar is survived by three grandsons, Jason Soots of Camby, IN, Jeffrey Soots of Camby, IN and Anthony Barnes of Camby, IN; three great grandchildren, Jacey, Dylan and Ciera; a sister, Wanda Allender and a brother, Delbert Soots. Edgar is preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Vada (Griffith) Soots; his wife, Hazel (Murray) Soots; a son, Jeffrey Soots; a sister, Barbara Boys and a brother, William Soots. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 3-8 p.m., Sunday, December 15, 2013 and 9-10 a.m., Monday, December 16, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Pastor Billy Gott will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Edgar will be laid to rest at Mooresville Cemetery.
