E. Leona Jeffers Miller

E. Leona Jeffers Miller, 80, of North Port, Florida, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at her home. She was born February 2, 1936 in Indianapolis, IN to the late Albert and Rachel Lodema (Wallace) Jaynes. She married Rex Miller on June 6, 1998.

E. Leona lived most of her life in Indianapolis and 28 years in Monrovia. She was a graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. Along with being a homemaker she was an administrative assistant for Chatfield Paper Company for 10 years, member of Monrovia United Methodist Church and Monrovia Order of the Eastern Star #580.

E. Leona is survived by her husband, Rex Miller; son, William Jeffers; daughter, Mary Ann Benton; 3 step daughters: Alisia Smith, Darci Pellom and Sharlene Miller; 6 grandchildren: William H. Jeffers II, John A. Jeffers, Zachery Smith, Joshua Smith, Gabriel Pellom and Michael Pellom and also 2 great grandchildren .

Friends and family may pay their respects on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 3-5 p.m. at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. There will be a celebration of life service to follow at 5 p.m. Her wishes were to be cremated following the services and then buried in Clayton Cemetery.
