Dorothy L. Greenwald (Holderfield)

Dorothy L. (Holderfield) Greenwald, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Wednesday, May 14th, 2025 with her family by her side. She was born June 20th, 1941 in Indianapolis to her parents James A. "Jim" and "Betty" Elizabeth (Taylor) Holderfield. She married William B. Greenwald on August 13th, 1960.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, William B. "Ben" Greenwald of Indianapolis; her son, Doug Greenwald (Sandy) of Indianapolis; her daughter, Terri Reynolds (Darrin) of Indianapolis; six grandchildren: Joe (Logan), Jake (Jacqui), Josh (Hannah), Jesse (Haylee) Greenwald along with Devin Reynolds and Lauren (Zack) Dodson; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Judy Brock (Randy).

Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Betty Holderfield.

Dorothy was a 1959 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She was a realtor for REMAX and Dubois Reality for several years. She loved listening to music, traveling, and going on cruises. She also enjoyed gardening and had an interest in shrubs and trees. Dorothy was most passionate about spending time with her family as they were her pride and joy. She was known by many to be a beautiful, intelligent, loving, fair and hardworking woman.

Family and friends may show their love and support during a memorial gathering from 11am-1pm, Monday, May 19, 2025 with Pastor Brad Long officiating the celebration of life service following the gathering at 1pm at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville, IN.

Services have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service, Mooresville.
