Donna Darlene Jackson

Donna Darlene (Gitchel) Jackson, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away Friday, April 21st, 2023. She was born August 26th, 1934 in Rockford, Illinois to her parents Fred and Elizabeth Marie (Cole) Gitchel. She married the late Terry Roger Jackson on November 18th, 1950.

Donna is survived by her 6 children: Sally Thrasher of Camby, Roger Jackson (Kiley) of Brooklyn, Patty Caudill (Alvin) of Viper, Kentucky, Steve Jackson (Lorraine) of Camby, Mary Thrasher (Ron) of Camby, and Terry Fout (Chuck) of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren: and 31 great grandchildren. Donna is preceded in death by both of her parents: her husband, Terry Roger Jackson; one son, Timothy Jackson; one grandson, Timothy Jackson; two brothers: Wyvil and Fred Gitchel; and four sisters: Shirley Majkut, Elma Recoy, Betty Braxton, and Joan Collinsworth.

Donna was an Inspector for Sentinel Printing for 10 years before retiring in 1978. She enjoyed going to the casino, playing bingo and bowling. Donna was known as a wonderful and loving woman.

Private services will be held at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, Indiana. Donna will be laid to rest at Mooresville Cemetery in Mooresville, Indiana.
