Donald Martin

Donald Earl Martin, 65, died on June 1, 2008. He was born on May 14, 1943 to the late Raleigh B. and Martha Ellen (Flake) Martin in Hendricks County, IN. He married Clara Evelyn (Howard) Martin on June 30, 1962 and she survives. Before retiring in 2001, he was a Warehouse Worker for True Value Hardware in Indianapolis, IN for 38 years. He attended Mt. Gilead Christian Church in Mooresville, IN. Survivors include his wife, Clara Evelyn Martin of Mooresville, IN; 2 Daughters, Donna Martin of Indianapolis, IN, Karen Shaffer of Mooresville, IN; 1 son in law, Steve Shaffer of Mooresville,IN; 2 Grandchildren, Megan and Spencer Shaffer of Mooresville, IN;1 brother, Estel Martin of Noblesville, IN;1 sister, Pauline Fox of Franklin, IN. One brother, Wayne Martin, preceded him in death. Visitation will be from 2-8pm on Wednesday, June 4, 2008 & from 9-10am before the 10am funeral service on Thursday, June 5,2008. Burial will be in White Lick Cemetery. Jeff Faull will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to support Karen Shaffer's 3-day walk for the fight against cancer. Forms can be picked up at the funeral home.
