Dewey Taft

Dewey H. Taft, 85, of Camby, IN passed away April 2, 2006. He was born February 3, 1921 in Farmersburg to the late William B. and Mary I.(Reynolds)Taft. He was married to the late Patricia (Grubbs) Taft in February 2, 1953. He lived in Camby for 46 years. He graduated from Farmersburg High School in 1939, was a member of the Five Points Baptist Church, and a 50 year Member of the Masonic Lodge. Before retiring in 1980, he was a Tool Rooms Supervisor for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, IN for 21 years. Dewey is survived by 2 sons: Robert and Gary Taft of Mooresville, IN; 7 Grandchildren: Chrissy Taft, Cyndy Sharp, Angela Rushing, P.J. Taft, Steven Taft, Bobby Taft and Ryan Taft; 3 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Earl and Gale Taft; and 2 Sisters: Glenn Benson and Zoe Mason. Calling will be from 2-8pm, Wednesday, April 5, 2006 and the funeral will be at 10am Thursday, April 6, 2006. Both will be held at JONES FAMILY MORTUARY. Billy Gott will be officiating the service. Dewey will be laid to rest at the Liberty Cememtery in Farmersburg, IN.
