Demaree Dowling, 80 years of age passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He was born June 3, 1929 in Morgantown, IN to the late Rex and Ethel (Kemp) Dowling. Demaree married Barbara (Stegner) Dowling on December 12, 1952.
Demaree lived in Morantown, IN for 5 years; Indianapolis, IN for 45 years; and in Camby, IN for 30 years. He was a Machinist-Forman for 44 years at Mitchell Group in Indianapolis, IN. He retired in 1991. Demaree attended Cathedral of Prayer Baptist Church in Plainfield, IN and he also loved Gardening and Yard Work. Demaree Dowling was a Korean War Army Veteran and was also a 1947 Graduate of Arsenal Technical High School.
He is survived by his Wife, Barbara (Stegner) Dowling of Camby, IN; 2 Daughters, Nancy Carter of New Castle, IN and Debbie Dunn of Mooresville, IN; 4 Grandchildren: Tom Carter, Robbie Dunn, April Rose, and Austin Carter; and 3 Great Grandchildren: Brooklyn Rose, Kevin Carter, and Jason Rose.
Calling hours for Demaree will be from 3-8pm, Thursday, May 27, 2010 and from 9-10am, Friday, May 28, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. The Funeral will be at 10am, Friday, May 28, 2010 at Jones Family Mortuary. Andy Arnett will officiate the service and Demaree will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
