Delores Sexton

Delores "Gayle" Sexton, 54 of Indianapolis, IN passed away Friday, May 11, 2007. She was born February 19, 1953 in Dayton, OH to the late James Howard Burkhardt and the late Mary Christine (Miller) Burkhardt. She married Timothy R. Sexton on March 27, 1970. Gayle lived in Indianapolis for 19 years, Bloomington for 8 years, and in Dayton, OH for 27 years. She was a 1970 graduate of Stebbins High School in Dayton, OH. She was also a member of River of Life Church of God. Gayle enjoyed singing and playing piano; she was an administrative assistant for 1 year for the Faith Prebyterian Church and previously at Lakeview Church for several years. Gayle was survived by her Husband, Timothy R. Sexton of Indianapolis, IN; 3 Children: Shawna (Kamal) Girgis of Bedford, IN, James Sexton of Indianapolis, IN, and Steven Sexton of Indianpolis, IN; 3 Grandchildren: Vonya, Ramsis, and Zahra Girgis; 1 Sister, Ruth Foss of Dayton, OH; and 1 Brother, James Edward Burkhardt of Cookville, TN. She was preceded in death by 1 Sister, Sue Mooney. Calling hours for Gayle will be from 11am-12noon with the funeral beginning at 12noon Monday, May 14, 2007 at River of Life Church of God 6100 Kentucky Ave. Rev. John Quigley will be officiating the service. Gayle will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the River of Life Church of God.
