Debra Lee Hilbert

Debra Lee (Warren) Hilbert, 64, of Camby, passed away Friday, August 9th, 2024. She was born November 9th, 1959 in Indianapolis to her parents Darrell and Fay (Linthicum) Warren. She married Andrew Hilbert on June 16th, 1984. She was a resident of Mooresville for most of her life.

Debra is survived by her husband, Andrew Hilbert of Camby; two sons: Dean (Amy) Belcher of Bowling Green, Indiana and Logan Hilbert (Crystal Hampton) of Louisville, Kentucky; four grandchildren: Meridian Belcher, Devin Hilbert, Lilly Belcher, and Heaven Hilbert; four great grandchildren: Bentley, Blaze, Braxton, and soon to be expected "Baby Bebbie Bell"; one brother-in-law, Boyd Hilbert; one nephew, Tommy Vibbert; and many other relatives she loved.

Debra is preceded in death by both of her parents; and one brother, Scott Warren.

At nine years old, Debra was in the Mooresville Times for catching a largemouth bass and received a trophy for her accomplishment. She was a 1978 graduate of Mooresville High School and later obtained her Associates degree from Indiana Business College in 1982. Debra was a Legislative Assistant for the Indiana State Senate for 10 years and a Secretary for Warren Insurance in Mooresville for seven years. Keeping very busy, she also worked in Medicare processing claims for four years. Being a very loving person, Debra was a past president for the Morgan County humane Society. She loved being a mother, mamaw, and great grandma. Debra especially enjoyed cooking big meals for the family, with having a big collection of cookbooks and tupperware. She enjoyed her time at the covered bridge festival in the Fall. Debra was known for always having a glass of sweet tea by her side and could talk on the phone for hours. Her family describes her as resilient, onery but loving, and the biggest cheerleader for everyone she knew.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 pm to 1 pm on Wednesday, August 14th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, August 14th following visitation at the Funeral Home. Debra will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Morgan County Humane Society.
