Deborah Wilson

Deborah (Grooms) Wilson, 73, most recently of Mooresville and previously of Indianapolis for most of her life, passed away peacefully on September 22, 2021 in St. Francis South Hospital. She was born in Indianapolis on November 30, 1947 to the late Charles Grooms and Lily (Stiert) Rutherford. She married Donald Wilson on August 12, 1999. Deborah was a 1965 graduate of George Washington High School. She was member of Marwood Baptist Church for many years; loved shopping; camping and spending time with her family. Deborah is survived by her husband of 22 years, Donald Wilson; two children from her previous husband, Gerald Bryant: Rhonda (Bryant) (Jim Jr.) Koons of Cleveland, TN and Kevin (Heather) Bryant of Indianapolis; five step children: Michelle Winnegar, Donnie Wilson, Laura Prow, Rory Wilson and Amanda Wilson; five grandchildren: Kami Dillon, Jimmy Koons, Dylan Koons, Lilly Bryant and Kevin Bryant Jr.; six great grandchildren: Baylee Koons, Carlee Koons, Jonah Dillon, Luke Dillon, Briar Koons and Scarlett Dillon; and several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Deborah is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles Grooms and step-sister, Barbara Tookes. Family and friends may show their love and support from 10am - 11am, Saturday, September 25, 2021 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Pastor Brandon Sichting will officiate the celebration of life service at 11am following the visitation in the Funeral Home. Deborah will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery, Mooresville.
