Debbie A. West

Debbie A. (Buttler) West, 61, of Martinsville, passed away peacefully on October 23, 2017 with her loving family by her side. She was born to Mack Buttler and Juanita (Gray) Moody on June 8, 1956 in Indianapolis. She graduated from Cascade High School in 1974. She married her best friend, Michael W. West, on December 1, 1978. Debbie was a self-employed Medical Transcriptionist, owning and operating MRN Transcription Service for over 30 years. She was a loving and protective mother and mamaw Debbie. She loved spending time with family and had an infectious laughter. She was an avid slot machine player and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and landscaping. She lived in Martinsville for the past 30 years and Stilesville for 20 years. Debbie is survived by her husband of 38 years, Mike West of Martinsville; three loving children, Jessie West of Indianapolis, Brandon West of Plainfield and Danielle West of Indianapolis; two grandchildren, Jake West and Iris Miller; three brothers, Danny (Sheila) Buttler of Mooresville, Rick (Shirley) Buttler of Indianapolis and Dwayne (Jan) Buttler of Memphis, IN; and a sister-in-law, Kelly Buttler of MN. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Jimmy and Larry Buttler. Family and friends may pay their respects from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 and 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Chaplain Dave Francoeur will officiate Debbie's celebration of life service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at the funeral home.
