Listen to Obituary

David Lee Robinson, 72, of Indiana, passed away in Louisiana on December 19, 2025. He was born on February 14, 1953, in Greencastle, Indiana to the late John and Mollie (Scaggs) Robinson.

David was a graduate of Cascade High School and began working at Stilesville Implement Auction at the age of 16, where he worked for many years. Over the course of his life, he also worked for John Hall, Ted Everett, and Cardinal Contracting. A dedicated worker and truck driver, David took pride in providing for his family and was known for his strong work ethic.

In his younger years, David could often be found at the ball fields playing softball or coaching and cheering on his children, JD and Lori. His softball team, Jett Express, won Nationals in the 1985 class "B" division in Grand Rapids, Michigan... something he always loved to reminisce about. As the years passed, he enjoyed the quieter pleasures of life--watching NASCAR, Westerns, playing golf, and spending time fishing, all activities that brought him peace and joy.

David was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Larry, Jerry, Roger, and Jimmy Robinson; his sister-in-law Dona Robinson; and his nephews Wade Robinson and John Robinson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Vikki Robinson, of Louisiana and Indiana; his children John "J.D." Robinson and wife Kelli of Camby, and Lori Pax and husband Jason of Plainfield; and his grandchildren Jack and Ryan Robinson and Jordyn and Bryce Pax. He is also survived by his brother Ronnie Robinson and wife Tracey of Amo; sisters Jan Wood and husband Steve of Plainfield, and Patsy Hurrle and husband Jim of Indianapolis; sister-in-laws Suzy Robinson of Texas and Debbie Robinson of Plainfield; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate David's life on January 3, 2026, from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Deer Creek Golf Clubhouse, located at 7143 South State Highway 39, Clayton, Indiana 46118. A brief ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m., followed by food, fellowship, and sharing memories of David.

David will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Though his passing leaves a void in our hearts, his love, laughter, and memories will live on forever.
