David W. Martin

David W. Martin, 86, of Mooresville, passed away Thursday, March 20th, 2025. He was born February 11th, 1939 in Bourbon, Indiana to his parents Millard and Blanche (Musser) Martin. He married the late Sue L. (Maiden) Martin in August of 1966.

David is survived by his three sons: Matt Martin (Jami), David Martin (Melissa), and Mike Martin (Tammy); five grandchildren: Presley, Hallie, Jalen, Corbin, and Matt; two great grandchildren: Ace and Lilly; and two siblings: Irene and Mark.

David is preceded in death by both of his parents; his wife, Sue L. Martin; and two sisters: Donna and Bonnie

David was a proud graduate of Bourbon High School in Bourbon, Indiana, class of 1957, where he had a great time participating in the Future Farmers of America (FFA). After high school, he continued his education at Purdue University. For 30 years, David worked as a driver for Roadway Express in Indiana, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic.

He was an active member of Kingsway Christian Church in Avon, where he formed many friendships. David had a love for farming, motorcycles, smoking cigars, and hitting the golf course. Above all, he absolutely adored his family. Friends and family alike knew him as a hardworking, loving father and husband, and he took great joy in caring for his loved ones.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville.
