Danny Lester Jenkins

Danny Lester Jenkins, 75, of Camby, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 12th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 23rd, 1948 in Bowling Green, Kentucky to the late Lester Freeman and Mabel Lucille (Lowe) Jenkins. He married Linda Louise (King) Jenkins on June 17th, 1967.

Danny is survived by his wife, Linda; two children: Kimberly Sue Springer of Mooresville, IN and Danny Lee Jenkins of Camby, IN; three grandchildren: Noah Lee Jenkins of Camby, IN, Alex Michael Springer of Plainfield, IN and Grace Elizabeth Springer of Camby, IN; three great grandchildren: Jax Springer, Tatum Springer, and Mateo Fulkerson; five brothers: James Lee Jenkins of Indianapolis, IN, Paul Herman "Skip" Jenkins of Banta, IN, Robert Eugene Jenkins of Indianapolis, IN, Kenneth Richard Jenkins of Mooresville, IN, and one sister, Linda Jane Barnett of Lakeland, FL.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Tina Jenkins and Juanita Lucas.

Danny was a graduate of George Washington High School and later obtained his associate degree in mechanical engineering from IUPUI. He worked as an engineer at Carrier Corporation for 43 years. As a special achievement, Danny held four patents for Air Cleaners. Danny enjoyed fishing, boating, and golfing. He especially loved spending time with his family.

Graveside services will be held at 3 pm on Thursday, January 18th at Mooresville Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville.
