Daniel Sr.

Daniel L. (Godfather) Shotts Sr., 74, Camby, passed away at home on Saturday, June 23, 2012. He was born on May 20, 1938 to the late Woodrow M. Shotts and Dorothy (Leamann) Williamson. He married Carole (Harrison) Shotts on August 31, 1963. Daniel lived most of his life in Camby and 25 years in Indianapolis. He was a truck driver for Suburban Motor Freight for 25 years and retiring in 1996 from Consolidated Freightways. He was a member of Teamsters Local #135 and enjoyed spending time with his family. Daniel is survived by his wife, Carole (Harrison) Shotts; 2 sons: Daniel Shotts Jr. of Avon and David Shotts of Shelbyville; 4 grandchildren: Jenny, Ryan, Jarrod and Zoe and a great grandchild due in December. Daniel is preceded by his parents; 1 grandson, David Shotts Jr and 1 sister, Gwen Cooper. Friends may call from 11am to 1pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. Funeral services are at 1pm, Tuesday, June 26, 2012 with Fr. Mark Gottemoeller officiating. Daniel will be laid to rest in Floral Park Cemetery.
