Daisy Pennington

Daisy "Sharlene" Pennington, 58, of Mooresville, IN, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2013. Sharlene was born to Myrel and Martha L. (Crawford) Cooper on August 2, 1954 in Indianapolis, IN. Sharlene was a 1972 graduate of Mooresville High School. Sharlene married Ronald Pennington on July 8, 1972 and they have two children, Tanya Payton and Dustin Pennington. Sharlene was a Secretary for Superior Training in Indianapolis, IN for 13 years, retiring in 1998. She attended Spring Hill Christian Center. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She has lived in Mooresville, IN for the past 50 years. Sharlene is survived by her husband of nearly 41 years, Ronald Pennington of Mooresville, IN; 2 children, Tanya (John) Payton of Mooresville, IN and Dustin Pennington of Indianapolis, IN; her mother, Martha L. (Crawford) Cooper of Mooresville, IN; 3 grandchildren, Kendra, Kavan and Logan Payton; a brother, Terry W. Cooper of Mooresville, IN and 2 sisters, Karen F. Brendle of Mooresville, IN and Diana L. Johnston of Anderson, IN. Sharlene is preceded in death by her father, Myrel Cooper. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 3-8 p.m., Monday, June 17, 2013 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center, next door to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Mark Wright will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center. Sharlene will be laid to rest in White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville, IN.
