Clyde L. Mask

Clyde L. Mask, 93, of Camby, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 21st with his loving family by his side. He was born October 29th, 1930, in Jamestown, Tennessee to Robert and Matilda "Tilda" (Smith) Mask. He married Dolly L. (Cravens) Mask on July 5, 1952.

Clyde is survived by his wife of 72 years, Dolly Mask of Camby; three loving children: Donny Mask (Susan) of Mooresville, Donna Young of Mooresville, and Les Mask of Camby; daughter in law, Cindy Mask; thirteen grandchildren: Bobby Mask, Michelle Robertson, Rhonda Adamson, Timothy Weesner, Jennifer Swinney, Donald Young, Jeremy Young, Brandon Mask, Christopher Mask, Jared York, Ja'Juan Mask, Ashley Tipton and Sarah Clem; 29 great-grandchildren; and eleven great-great grandchildren.

Clyde is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ronnie Mask; brother Alvin Lester Mask; and two sisters: Pauline Stephens and Jenetta Lowe.

Clyde worked as the head custodian at Lynwood Elementary in Decatur Township for 37 years and retired from there in 1996. He was a member West Newton Full Gospel Tabernacle currently known as West Newton Worship and Youth Center where he served as Treasurer for many years. Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, playing basketball and throwing horseshoes. He was known by those who loved him to be a jokester with playful personality.

Family and friends may show their love and support at Jones Family Mortuary on Wednesday July 24, 2024, from 4:00-8:00 pm and Thursday July 25 from 12:00-1:00 pm. Pastor Tony Cannon and Rev. Ralph Wise will officiate the Celebration of Life following the visitation at 1:00 pm. Clyde will be laid to rest in West Newton Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made in Clyde's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
