Clyde H. Best Jr., 70, of Mooresville, IN, passed away peacefully on April 10, 2013. Clyde was born to Clyde H. Best Sr. & Gladys (Browning) Best on August 9, 1942 in Topeka, KS. Clyde served our country bravely by his service in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Clyde married Donna (Lay) Best on August 23, 1970.
Clyde worked as a Maintenance Instructor for United Airlines in the San Francisco, CA Bay area & Indianapolis, IN for 37 years. He sang in the church choir, enjoyed Bible study & research & was a member of Chapel West 7th Day Adventist Church in Indianapolis, IN. He currently volunteered with St. Francis Hospital in Mooresville, IN. Clyde loved woodworking and enjoyed arts, crafts, painting & bread making & sharing the breads with others. He has lived in Mooresville, IN for the past 15 years and in the San Francisco, CA Bay area for 50 years.
Clyde is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna (Lay) Best of Mooresville, IN; a son, Timothy Best of Mooresville, IN; a daughter Donna (Jim) Vincent of CA; a grandson, Ryan Vincent of CA; 2 sisters, Bette Mallinson of CA & Linda Piatt of TN;& a brother, Lloyd Best of CA. Clyde is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde H. Best Sr. & Gladys (Browning) Best.
Steven Manoukian will officiate a 4:30 pm Memorial Service to celebrate Clyde's life on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Chapel West 7th Day Adventist Church in Indianapolis, IN.
