Clarence Fannon

Clarence M. "Hocake" Fannon, 93 years of age passed away Monday, March 30, 2009. He was born May 1, 1915 in Lee County, VA to the late Elizabeth Faye (Fannon) Spurior. He lived in Mooresville, IN for 39 years and in Lee County, VA for 54 years. He was a Factory Worker for Automotive Armature for 15 years and retired in 1979. Previously, he was a Farmer in Lee County, VA for 40 years. Clarence is survived by 1 Son, Hairm Fannon of Pennington Gap, VA; 4 Daughters: Anna Faye Wilson of Pennington Gap, VA, Ella Mae Honeycutt of Pennington Gap, VA, Rosa J. Pennington of Mooresville, IN, and Thelma Jean Fannon of Indianapolis, IN; 5 Step Sons: Earl, Everette, Cecil, and O'dell Lundy of Mooresville, IN and Earvin Lundy of KY; 3 Step Daughters: Anna Mae Lear of Mooresville, IN, Wanda Loyde of Missouri, and Joyce Flory of Mooresville, IN; 1 Brother, Bill Spurior of Pennington Gap, VA; 1 Sister, Bertha Pizer of North Carolina; Caregiver, Patty Henry; Friend, Tom Hillman; 14 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; and 9 Great Great Grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by 1 Son, James Vas Fannon; 3 Step Sons: Roy Lee Lundy, Robert Lundy, and Danny Lundy; 1 Brother, Jim Spurior; 2 Sisters, Mary Alice Minery and Louise Jackson; and 1 Granddaughter, Jamie Fannon. Calling hours for Clarence will be from 4-8pm, Thursday, April 2, 2009 and from 10-11am, Friday, April 3, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 11am, Friday, April 3, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. David Gibson will officiate the service and Clarence will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery. Jones Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
