Cheryl Valene Wilson

Cheryl Valene (Hornaday) Wilson, 68, of Camby, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21st, 2021. She was born March 3rd, 1952 in Indianapolis to her parents, Charles J. "Biff" and Norma Louise (Murray) Hornaday. Although she was a resident of Terre Haute for 25 years, she was a resident of Mooresville for most of her life. Cheryl is survived by her two children: Melissa Wright of New York and Chad (Quinn) Williams of Whiteland; four grandchildren: Alex Wright, Merideth Wright, Rhys Williams and Owen Williams; one brother, Brent Hornaday of Danville; and one sister, Anita Cummings of Mooresville. Cheryl is preceded in death by both of her parents; her partner, Sam Wilson; and two brothers: Larry and Terry Hornaday. Cheryl was a 1969 graduate of Mooresville High School and received her Associates Degree from I.U.P.U.I. in 1986. She was a Health Facility Administrator for various Indiana Nursing Homes for 30 years before retiring in 2011. She was a member of the Mooresville American Legion Ladies Auxiliary Post #103 and Mooresville Eeries Eagles 3988. Cheryl enjoyed quilting, crossword puzzles and flower gardening. Family and Friends may show their love and support from 11am to 1pm on Saturday, January 23rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1pm at the funeral home. Cheryl will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery in West Newton.
