Charlie Davidson

Charlie R. Davidson, 83 years of age passed away Wednesday, January 14, 2009. He was born March 2, 1925 in Cumberland County, KY. He married Velta Faye (Bishop) Davidson of Camby, IN on December 16, 1950. Charlie has lived in Camby, IN for most of his life and in Cumberland County, KY for 21 years. He was a Army Veteran from World War II and he loved gardening. Before retiring in 1987, he was a Machinest for Ford Motor Company in Indianapolis, IN. Charlie is survived by his Wife, Velta Faye (Bishop) Davidson of Camby, IN; 2 Children, Charles R. Davidson of Camby, IN and Tina M. Grow of Brooklyn, IN; 4 Grandchildren: Marie Hammack, Brandy Stott, Jessica Young, and Felicia Davidson; 6 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Sister, Goldie Long. He is also preceded in death by 1 Son, Larry J. Davidson. Calling hours for Charlie will be from 4-8pm, Sunday, January 18, 2009 and from 9-10am, Monday, January 19, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10am, Monday, January 19, 2009 at Jones Family Mortuary. Billy Gott will officiate the service and Charlie will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. Jones Family Mortuary handled the arrangements.
