Charles Jones

Charles F. Jones, 81 years of age, passed peacefully on Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 8:45am. He was born on August 31, 1926 in Brownsburg, IN to the late Louis F. Jones and the late Elsie L. (Toney) Jones. He married his beautiful wife, Doris A. (Frazier) Jones on October 11, 1945. Charles lived in Indianapolis (Decatur Township) for most of his life and in Camby, IN since 1988. He was a 1944 Decatur Central High School Graduate and was also a Navy Veteran in WWII. He was a member of the West Newton Masonic Lodge #707, Indianapolis Scottish Rite, and the Murat Shrine Indianapolis. Charles was Past President and Chairman of the Board of Jones Family Mortuary and also a Truck Transportation Broker from 1960-2000. Previously, he was a partner in Frazier and Jones Trucking from 1952-1964 and a salesman for Armour and Co. from 1954-1957. Charles F. Jones, is survived by his Wife, Doris A. (Frazier) Jones; 6 Children: Ronald F. Jones of WI, Kathy L. Cobb of Mooresville, IN, Deborah E. Radziunas of Greenwood, IN, Jeffrey K. Jones of Camby, IN, Toni C. Jones of CO, and Jennifer L. Jones of Avon, IN; 13 Grandchildren; 21 Great Grandchildren; 2 Sisters, Shirley Coleman of Camby, IN and Sandra Stewart of Stilesville, IN; 3 Brothers: Danny L. Jones of AZ, David N. Jones of AZ, and Jerry N. Jones of Indianapolis, IN. Calling hours for Charles will be from 2-8pm, Tuesday, March 4, 2008 and 9:30am-10:30am, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center (right next to Jones Family Mortuary). There will be a Masonic Service at 7:30pm, March 4, 2008. The funeral will be at 10:30am, Wednesday, March 5, 2008 at Jones Crossing Banquet Center with Charles Paxton to officiate.
