Charles Johnson

Charles F. Johnson, 67, of Mooresville, died Sunday, April 30, 2006. He was born on March 7, 1939 in Huntington, IN. He was the son of the late Harold S. & Ruth Johnson. He married Janet Johnson in 1963. He and his wife,Janet spent most of their life in the Mooresville, IN area. He was a 1957 Huntington High School Graduate. He received his Bachelor's degree from Ball State and his Master's degree from Indiana University. He started his teaching career at Decatur Township, but spent most of his time in the Wayne Township School Corporation. After 35 years of teaching, he retired in 1996. After retirement, he was a Realtor and worked for Century 21 ABBA and Associates in Mooresville, IN for many years. He was a Member of Lamda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Phi Delta Kappa, National Education Association and the Realtors Association. Besides his wife, Janet, he is survived by 2 daughters: Mandy (Brad) Hancock of Greenfield, IN, Lindy (Joe) Edmondson of Hebron, KY, 4 Grandchildren: Chelsea, Garrett, Jenna & Jacob Hancock, Brother: Robert Johnson of Elkhart, IN, several nieces and nephews. He was a beloved husband, father and grandfather and will be greatly missed. Visitation will be 2-8pm, Wednesday, May 3, 2006 and 9-10am (one prior to the funeral service) on Thursday, May 4, 2006at Jones Family Mortuary. Funeral Services will be at 10am on Thursday, May 4, 2006. He will be laid to rest at West Newton Cemetery. Rev. Bill Burkley will officiate the services. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
