Charles Lendel Brooks, 71, passed away in Mooresville, Indiana, early Friday, 7 June 2013. Charles was born to Charles E. Brooks and Rubye M. Steele Brooks, on 28 June 1941. Charles (Lendel to family) was a retiree from Allison's and Rolls Royce after 42 year career as a tool and die maker. Charles had also served his country in the U.S. Army from 1962-1965, one year of which, he was in Korea. Charles was predeceased by his loving wife, Glenna D. Brooks, and his parents. Charles leaves behind one daughter, Sherry (Ryle) Perry of Camby, IN, and three sons, Stan Brooks of Clermont, IN, Randy Brooks of OH and Charles W. (Chuck) Brooks of Mooresville, IN. He is also survived by two granddaughters, Michelle (Riley) Vickrey of Indianapolis and Hillary (Daniel) Rhoton of Indianapolis, IN. Two great grandsons, Noah Rhoton and Jonah Rhoton also remain. A sister, Reba A. (Frank) Gibson of Alabama and a brother, David S. Brooks of Mississippi, survive Charles. Family and friends may attend calling hours from 3-6 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2013 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville, IN. Charles Paxton will officiate the 10 a.m. celebration of life service on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at Jones Family Mortuary. Charles will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville, IN.
