Carrie Lambert

Carrie Vivian Lambert, 73 years of age passed away Monday, October 12, 2009. She was born March 26, 1936 in Lee County, VA to the late Henry and Callie (Osborne) Hurd. She married the late Billy Joe Lambert on April 24, 1959. She lived in Camby, IN for 50 years and in Lee County, VA for 23 years. She was a member of the Life Line Baptist Church where she was a member of the Mighty Hands Puppet Team. She loved flowers and gardening, fishing, traveling, and spending time with her family and friends. Vivian looked forward to the birth of her Great Granddaughter, Olivia Noel Smith, expected on or around Thanksgiving Day. She was also a Homemaker. Carrie Vivian Lambert is survived by 1 Daughter, Carrie Joetta (Douglas) Smith of Mooresville, IN; 1 Grandson, Justin Douglas (Christina) Smith of Carmel, IN; 1 Granddaughter, Callie Rachel Smith of Mooresville, IN; 3 Sisters: Lillian Hurd (VA), Hazel Smith (TN), and Velvie Hurd (VA); 2 Brothers, Winford (Ruth) (VA) and Johnny Hurd and friend, Brenda (VA); 2 Nieces, Darlene (Sam) Smallwood (WV) and Mandy (JJ) Alexander (VA); 1 Nephew, Brent (Liz) Wuerdeman (VA); and 2 Great Nephews, Tel Wuerdeman (VA) and Jacob Alexander (VA). She is also preceded in death by her Husband, Joe Lambert; Parents, Henry and Callie Hurd; and Infant Sister, Ella Maye Hurd. Calling hours will be from 4-5pm, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Life Line Baptist Church in Camby, IN. The funeral will be at 5pm, Thursday, October 15, 2009 at the Life Line Baptist Church with Lyman Taylor to officiate. Carrie Vivian Lambert will be laid to rest right next to Joe at the Osborne Cemetery in Blackwater, Virginia.
