It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carolyn Sue Moseley, beloved wife, mother, sister, and friend. Carolyn was born on June 12, 1944, in Indianapolis, to her parents Amedeo Frank and Thelma Gertrude (Van Winkle) Packard, and she departed this life on February 5, 2026, surrounded by the love and warmth of her family. She married Paul Fletcher Moseley in June of 1975 and the two spent 50 beautiful years together.
A graduate of Thomas Carr Howe High School, Carolyn dedicated over 30 years of her life to the insurance industry, beginning with Indiana Insurance and later transitioning to Liberty Mutual. She retired in 1999, cherishing the opportunity to embark on new adventures. Known as a kind, loving, and fiercely independent woman, up until her decline, Carolyn touched the lives of many with her generous spirit and creative talents. She embraced her passions wholeheartedly, finding joy in bingo, crafting, sewing, crocheting, and camping. Carolyn and her husband, Paul, spent 15 wonderful years of retirement together at Florida Camp Inn in Davenport, Florida, where they built cherished memories amidst the warmth of the sun and the laughter of friends and family.
Carolyn is survived by her devoted husband, Paul Fletcher Moseley; her son, Dean Moseley (Sara) of Camby; four stepchildren: Paul Moseley (Linda) of Florida, Tammie Haus (Tom) of Shelbyville, Kim Moseley of Kokomo, and Tracy Moseley of Florida; three beloved grandchildren: Dylan, Ian, and Gannon Moseley, along with numerous step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward. Carolyn also leaves behind two brothers, James Packard (Nancy) and Ron Packard, who will forever cherish their sister.
She was preceded in death by both of her parents and her brother, George Thomas Packard.
A time to honor Carolyn's life will be held on February 11th and 12th, 2026, at Jones Family Funeral and Cremation Service in Mooresville. A public visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00PM on Wednesday, February 11th and a second visitation from 10:00 to 11:00AM on Thursday, February 12th. The funeral service will take place on February 12th at 11:00 AM, following with a cryptside service at Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis, where Carolyn will be laid to rest.
As we reflect on Carolyn's life, we celebrate her strength and the love she shared with all who knew her. Her spirit will continue to inspire and touch our hearts as we gather to honor her memory.
