Bonnie Irene Pope

Bonnie Irene (Franklin) Pope, 73, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, December 17th, 2021. She was born September 2nd, 1948 in Indianapolis. She married Don W. Pope on November 30th, 1985. She was a resident of Mooresville for most of her life. Bonnie is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Don W. Pope of Mooresville; five children: Shay (Brian Wiser) O'Dell of Mooresville, Mike Franklin of Mooresville, Mandi Grogan of Mooresville, Doug (Polly) Pope of Mooresville, and Greg (Deb) Pope of Westfield; 11 grandchildren: Zane and Zeke O'Dell, Carlie Grogan, Aleena, Mitchel, Sherah and Jesse Franklin, Nathan and Emma Pope, and Griffin and Hayden Pope; one great grandson, Grayson O'Dell; three sisters: Judy Crago Ault, Sue Doty, Vivian Rich; and one brother, Scott Bradley. Bonnie is preceded in death by her father, Jesse Eugene "Gene" Franklin. Bonnie was a 1966 graduate of Decatur Central High School. She was a System Coordinator for Community Hospital East for 35 years. Bonnie was a member of Mt. Gilead Church. She was an avid movie goer and loved spending time with her grandchildren and family. Bonnie enjoyed playing board games and getting together with her friends. Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 to 7 pm on Tuesday, December 21st and from 1 to 2 pm on Wednesday, December 22nd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, December 22nd following visitation at the funeral home. Bonnie will be laid to rest at White Lick Cemetery in Mooresville.
