Billy Lambert

Billy Joe Lambert, 75 of Camby, IN passed away Monday, June 25, 2007. He was born on August 4, 1931 in Lee County, VA to the late Will Pat and Bertha (Moore)Lambert. He married Carrie Vivian (Hurd) Lambert on April 24, 1959. Billy has been a Camby resident since 1959. He was a faithful member of Life Line Baptist Church, where he was baptised after accepting Jesus Christ as his Saviuor on June 29, 2006. He was a member of the Mighty Hands Puppet Team, and enjoyed fellowships and working around the church. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He served his country for 4 years in the United States Airforce durning the Korean War and dearly loved the American Flag. Billy was survived by his Wife, Carrie Vivian (Hurd) Lambert of Camby, IN; 1 Daughter, Carrie Joetta (Douglas) Smith of Mooresville, IN; 1 Grandson, Justin Douglas Smith of Mooresville, IN; 1 Granddaughter, Callie Rachel Smith of Mooresville, IN; and many other family members and friends. He is also preceded in death by 2 Brothers: John C. Lambert and Arnold Ray Lambert; and 3 Sisters: Eunice Shiflett, Irene Tonker, and Mary Lee Cetrola. Calling hours for Billy will be from 3-8pm, Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at Jones Family Mortuary. The funeral will begin at 10am, Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Life Line Baptist Church. Lyman Taylor and Brother Arnott will be officiating the service. Billy will be laid to rest at Osborne Cemetery in Blackwater, Virginia.
