Betty Lou Zigler

Betty Lou (Grove) Zigler, 88, of Mooresville, passed away Tuesday, November 7th, 2023. She was born March 18th, 1935 to Jess and Ellen (Crossland) Groves. Betty married the late Palmer Zigler Jr. on February 4th, 1955.

Betty is survived by four children: Steve Zigler (Linda) of Brownsburg, Rick Zigler (Debbie) of Fillmore, Pam Atchley (Tim) of Westport, and Greg Zigler (Shirley) of Paragon; 12 grandchildren: Jacob Zigler (Crystal), Jessica Taylor (Christopher), Janetta Privett, Christopher Zigler (Jennifer), Bradley Zigler (Emily), Adam Zigler (Jennifer Bendickson), Ryan Zigler (Rachel), Becky Pile (Matt), Laura Stuart, Tom Atchley (Jordan), Scott Zigler (Jessica), and Cody Zigler; one step grandson, Philip Smith (Alisa Pruitt); 17 great grandchildren; and one step great grandson. Betty is preceded in death by both of her parents; her husband Palmer Zigler Jr.; one son, Rodney Zigler; one great grandson, Cordell Atchley; three sisters: Jessie Barnes, Mary Grove, and Neva Kirk; and three brothers: Chuck, Jake, and Bill Grove.

Betty was a 1953 graduate of Epsom High School. Betty attended Calvary Bible Wesleyan Church in Plainfield and was a member of Pilgrim Chapel Pilgrim Holiness Church in Indianapolis. She enjoyed going to yard sales and loved spending time with her family. Betty was known by many to be a sweet and loving woman.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4 pm to 7 pm on Sunday, November 12th and from 10 am to 11 am on Monday, November 13th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am on Monday, November 13th following visitation at the funeral home. Betty will be laid to rest at Fairview Cemetery in Elnora, Indiana.
