Betty Colsher

Betty Jane Colsher, 90 of Indianapolis, IN passed away January 5, 2007. She was born April 5, 1916 in Norwood, OH to the late William H. and Virginia (Palmer) Colsher. Betty has lived in Indianapolis for 24 years and was formerly from Detroit, Michigan for 60 years. She was a 1933 Shortridge High School Graduate, a 1937 Graduate of Butler University, and also a Graduate of Columbia University. She was a member of the Central Woodward Christian Church in Troy, Michigan. Betty was also apart of the Delta Gamma Sorority in Indiana and she loved world traveling, was a Superintendant of Library Sciences at Gross Point, Michigan for 40 years. She previously set up the library for Broad Ripple High School and served as their librarian in 1938. Betty was survived by: 1 Cousin, Kathleen Warren of Carmel, In; 1 Niece, Patricia Colsher of West Virginia; 1 Nephew, William Colsher of Philadelphia, PA; and A Special Friend, Beverly Shover of Indianapolis, IN. She was also preceded in death by her Brother, William P. Colsher. There will be a 10:30am Memorial Service on Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Robin Run Retirement Village in Indianapolis, IN.
