Betty Lucille (Brickley) Britt, 89, of Greenwood, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2018 in Plainfield. She was born to John and Edna Marie (Brickley) Hopkins on January 6, 1929 in Indianapolis. She married Kenneth Calvin Britt Sr. on December 31, 1946.

Betty is survived by four loving children, Judith (James) Jeannette of Mooresville, Kenneth Calvin (Sheila) Britt Jr. of Morristown, Daniel (Londa) Britt of ID and Lisa (James) Hollenbaugh of Greenwood; 14 loving grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Marlene Wills and Rose Keough. Betty is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, David Britt; a daughter, Teresa Davis; a sister, Delores Reedy and two great-granddaughters.

Betty was a CNA for Community Hospital South for 15 years, retiring in 1991. Previously, she was a cafeteria worker at Meridian Middle School. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for over 50 years. She enjoyed traveling, movies, and embroidering. She lived in the Greenwood and Indianapolis area all of her life.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville with Betty's celebration of life service starting at 11 a.m. Betty will be laid to rest at Washington Park East.
