Betty J (Lear) Almon, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, September 12th, 2020. She was born September 5th, 1937 in Graham, Kentucky to her parents, Elvis and Gey Nell (Ward) Lear. She married Bobby W. Almon on December 4th, 1954. She lived most of her life in Greenville, Kentucky and was a resident of Indianapolis since 2005. Betty is survived by her three children: Ricky Almon of Eddyville, Kentucky, Jeana (Kevin) Haley of Indianapolis, and Shannon (Bonnie) Almon of Camby; five grandchildren: Dustin, Savannah, Hayden, Jordan and Peyton; two great grandchildren: Kailyn and Jalen; and one brother Dwayne Lear. Betty is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, Bobby W. Almon. Betty worked in Food Service for Earl C. Clements Job Corp Center in Greenville, Kentucky for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Family and friends may show their love and support from 12 to 1 pm on Saturday, September 26th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A memorial service will follow at 1 pm at the funeral home. A celebration of life to be held immediately following the service at the Heartland Crossing Clubhouse located at 13329 N. Etna Green Drive, Camby, IN 46113 from 2 to 5 pm. Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to American Cancer Society, P.O.
