Bernadine Ambrose, 89, of Monrovia, died on Saturday, January 5, 2008. She was born on July 10, 1918 to the late Noah and Hazel (Kivett) Schrader. She married the late Charles Ambrose Jr. on September 22, 1939. Before retiring in 1981, she was a Branch Manager for the First National Bank of Martinsville, IN for 20 years. She was a member of the Monrovia Christian Church, Monrovia Homemakers Club, Past Matron of Honor and 50 year member of the Monrovia Order of the Eastern Star and along with her husband, Charles, they were Grand Marshalls of the 2000 Monrovia Festival. She is survived by 1 Son: Don Ambrose of Monrovia, IN; 5 Grandchildren: Lisa Anne Polston of Monrovia, IN, Chris Olds of Monrovia, IN, Donald Dean Ambrose of PA, Lisa Dawn Lemieux of NC and Gina Napalitino of FL; 12 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren; 1 Sister: Patricia Schrader Hinson of Mooresville, IN. She is preceded in death by a Sister, Ann Wilhite; and a Daughter in Law, Susan Ambrose. Visitation will be from 3-7pm, on Monday, January 7, 2008 and 9-10am, Tuesday, January 8, 2008 before the 10am funeral. Jack Elliott will officiate the services. She will be laid to rest at Stilesville Cemetery. Memorial Contributions can be made to the Monrovia Christian Church.
