Bennie Jones

Bennie L. Jones 68, Indianapolis, died May 21, 2006. She was born April 8, 1938 to Allen Smith and Lena (Hooper) Smith. She was a homemaker and avid bowler, who enjoyed gardening. Mrs. Jones was a member of Good Shepherd Baptist Church. She was a 1959 graduate of Robbinsville, NC High School. Survivors include husband Edward F. Jones, of Indianapolis; son Donald E. (Amy C.) Jones of Martinsville; grandchildren Fontana and Holly Jones; mother Lena (Hooper) Smith of Robbinsville, NC; four brothers, J.B., Jimmie, Roy and Harold Smith, all of Robbinsville, NC; sisters, Willa Belle Smith Pinson of Laurens, SC, Ida Abrams of Gray Court, SC, Phyllis Jordan and Deanie Wiggins of Robbinsville, NC. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 25, 2006 in Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville, IN, with calling there from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 24, 2006. Burial will be in Carver Cemetery, Robbinsville, North Carolina. Additional services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 27, 2006 in Townson-Smith Funeral Home, Robbinsville, NC, with calling there from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 26, 2006. J.B.
