Barbara Jean Herrington

Barbara Jean (Barnes) Herrington, 89, of Mooresville, passed away Wednesday, March 31st, 2021. She was born June 28th, 1931 in Indianapolis, to her parents, Charles Barnes and Ruth Elizabeth (Caylor) Piercy. Barbara was a resident of Indianapolis for most of her life but was a resident of Mooresville since 2018. Barbara is survived by her two children: Theresa "Terri" (Rick) Jenkins of Mooresville and Michael "Mike" (Kim) Herrington of Cicero; five grandchildren: Melissa, Amanda, Adam, Jessi and Ashlee; five great grandchildren: Kylie, Austin, Mallory, Cole and Harper; and one sister, Edna Snoddy. Barbara is preceded in death by both of her parents; her previous husband, Leo Herrington; four brothers: Donald, Ernie, Bill and Bob Barnes; and four sisters: Mary Druen, Alberta Scott, Doris Varvel and JoAnn Carter. Barbara was a Homemaker that enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was a loving grandmother. Chaplain Charles Sawyer will officiate a graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, April 2nd at Mooresville Cemetery in Mooresville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary.
