Barbara Garrard

Barbara A. (Truex) Garrard, 82, of Camby, passed away on May 28, 2019 with her loving family by her side. She was born on September 24, 1936 to William and Anna (Ziegemueller) Truex in Indianapolis. She married Arthur Lee Garrard on November 8, 1952.

Barbara is survived by seven loving children, Art (Marcy) Garrard of Brownsburg, Dan Garrard of AL, Paula (Bob) Bear of Camby, Pam Chapman of AL, James Garrard of Mooresville, Patty Garrard of Camby and Tim (Brittney) Garrard of Indianapolis; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Rick Garrard; a grandson, Bradley Hood; a great-grandson, Gabrien Weaver; and two sisters, Marcella Martin and Gladys McKee.

Barbara was a cafeteria worker for Mooresville High School for 20 years, retiring in 2016. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She lived in Camby for most of her life.

Family and friends may show their love and support from 4-8 p.m. on Monday, June 3rd at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
