Avenel Moore

Pat Moore, 98, of Camby, IN passed away Thursday, October 19, 2006. She was born August 9, 1908 in Knightsville, IN to the late Isabel (McShanog) Purcell. Pat married Chester Moore April 9, 1928. Avenel lived in Indianapolis for most of her life. She was a 1924 Graduate of Brazil High School and a Graduate of Indiana Normal Teachers College. She was a member of the Washington Street Prebyterian Church in Indianapolis, where she was a youth group leader. She was involved with the Garden City Mothers Chorus, the Corinthian Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. Pat was a Homemaker and also an Avon Sales Representative for 38 years. Pat is survived by 4 Children: Pat DUncan of Indianapolis, Jack Moore of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Tripp of Phoenix, AZ, and Mike Moore of Plainfield, IN; 13 Grandchildren; and 12 Great Grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 4-8pm, Monday, October 23, 2006 with the funeral service at 10am, Tuesday, October 24, 2006 both at Jones Family Mortuary. Pat will be laid to rest at Floral Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
