Audrey Stotts

Audrey I. (Porter) Stotts, 97 years of age passed away Thursday, December 15, 2011. She was born May 30, 1914 in Dugger, IN to the late Joseph and Josephine (Mitchell) Porter. She married the late Kenneth E. Stotts on January 30, 1933. Audrey lived in Dugger, IN for a short while; Linton, IN for 18 years; Indianapolis, IN for most of her life; and in Monrovia, IN in her later years. She was a 1932 graduate of Linton High School. She was an Owner/Operator at Stotts Market in Indianapolis, IN (18th and Sugar Grove) for 6 years. She worked at Minatel Pharmacy in Indianapolis, IN for 30 years. Audrey was an avid pie maker for family and gatherings. She was also a member of the Monrovia Methodist Church. She loved cooking and was very proud of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Audrey is survived by 1 daughter, Phyllis Mead of Monrovia, IN; 2 grandchildren, Kimberly Nelson of Monrovia, IN and John K. Mead of Monrovia, IN; 3 great granchildren: Valerie Nelson of Monrovia, IN, Macy Mead of Monrovia, IN, and Parker Mead of Monrovia, IN; and also several nieces and 1 nephew. Visitation for Audrey will be from 12pm-2pm, Monday, December 19, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Jack Elliott will officiate the 2pm funeral service on Monday, December 19, 2011 at Jones Family Mortuary. Audrey will be laid to rest in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hall, IN.
