Anna Lehr Mckee

Anna Mae (Foster) Lehr McKee, 95, of Martinsville, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on March 18, 2016. Anna was born to Leroy and Mary Ann (Hastings) Foster on September 12, 1920 in Martinsville. She graduated from Martinsville High School in 1938.

Anna was a Time Keeper for General Shale Brick in Mooresville for 15 years, retiring in 1982. She was a member and Past Worthy Matron of the Brooklyn Order Of Eastern Star. She enjoyed playing all kinds of card games, needle work, yard work and reading. She lived in the Martinsville and Centerton area all of her life.

Anna is survived by three loving daughters, Edie (John) Wahl of Martinsville, Rae (Randy) Kirk of Greenwood, Debbie (Don) Smith of Indianapolis; nine grandchildren, Craig, Marty, Shawna, Toni, Julie, Scott, Eric, Tyler, Mark; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leo Foster of Indianapolis and Larry Foster of Spencer. She is preceded in death by her parents; spouse, James McKee; previous spouse, Philip M. Lehr Sr.; a son, Philip Lehr Jr.; two brothers, Leroy and Maurice Foster; four sisters, Lois Dawson, Agnes Dawson, Mary Gibson and Lilly Rose Clark.

Family and friends may gather from 4-8 p.m., Monday, March 21 and 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, March 22 at Jones Family Mortuary, Mooresville. There will also be a 7 p.m. Eastern Star Service on Monday evening. Chaplain Steve Kehrer will officiate Anna's celebration of life service at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 22 at Jones Family Mortuary. Anna will be laid to rest in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Greenwood.
