Funeral services for Mrs. Anna Ruth Cooper, age 88, of Indianapolis, Indiana, will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 14, 2025, from the chapel of Speck Funeral Home. Bro. Derek Copeland will officiate. Burial will follow in the Beaty Cemetery.
The family will welcome friends for visitation on:
Saturday evening, September 13, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m.
Sunday, September 14, from 12:00 noon until the time of service at Speck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ruth passed peacefully at her home on the evening of Wednesday, September 10, 2025.
Born at home in Livingston, Tennessee, on May 24, 1937, Ruth was the daughter of the late Harmon and Mintha Velva Smith. She was a proud 1955 graduate of Livingston Academy.
A dedicated homemaker, Ruth had a lifelong passion for caring for others—whether family, friends, or neighbors. She raised a fruitful garden each year and loved canning her harvest to share with others. Known for her quick wit and love of laughter, Ruth was also remembered fondly as a great jokester who could light up any room.
