Anna Chastain

Anna May Chastain, 91 of Franklin, IN passed away Monday, December 3, 2007. She was born January 20, 1916 in Cicero, IN to the late Walter S. Wood and the late S. Pearl (Hubbartt) Wood. Anna has lived in Franklin, IN since year 2000. She lived in Indianapolis, IN for 25 years and in Monrovia, IN for 40 years. She was a member of the Monrovia United Methodist Church. Anna was a Machine Operator for 11 years at the Production Printing Company in Indianapolis, IN and retired in 1981. Previously, she worked 11 years as an Inspector for Zenite Metal Corporation in Indianapolis, IN. Anna is survived by her Niece, Rosemary Fox of Columbus, IN; 1 Step Son, Robert L. Chastain of Fortville, IN; 1 Step Daughter, Peggy Hopper of Indianapolis, IN; 8 Step Grandchildren; 16 Great Grandchildren; and 1 Brother, O. Eugene Wood of Portland, Oregon. She is also preceded in death by 1 Son, Ronald James Galvin; 3 Sisters: Grace Hessong, Blanche Millikan, Mary Jones; 6 Brothers: Chester, Lester, Raymond, Lawrence, Clark, and Myron Wood. Anna's Calling hours will be from 2-4pm, Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Jones Family Mortuary. There will also be one hour of calling 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday, December 6, 2007 from 10am-11am, at Franklin United Methodist Community. The funeral begins at 11am, Thursday, December 6, 2007 at Franklin United Methodist Community. John Eley will officiate the service and Anna will be laid to rest at Crown View Cemetery in Sheridan, IN. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Monrovia United Methodist Church.
