Allan Ray Scott, 78, of Plainfield, passed away Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. He was born October 24th, 1943 in Clinton, Indiana to his parents, Ray and Betty (Davis) Scott, where he spent his childhood. He married Roberta "Bobbi" (Gagliardi) Scott on October 8th, 2005. He was a resident of Indianapolis area for most of his life and resided in Plainfield for the last 18 years. Allan is survived by his wife, Bobbi (Chalkley) Gagliardi Scott of Plainfield; one son, Mark Scott of Russiaville; one daughter, Melissa (Tracy) Bilbrey; three step children: Jeffrey (Jenay) Chalkley, Joel Chalkley, and Jacob (Laura) Chalkley; and one brother, David Scott. Allan is preceded in death by both of his parents; his first wife, Jamia Scott; and his son, Matthew Rea Scott. Allan was a 1961 graduate of New Palestine High School. He was a Driver for NAPA in Indianapolis for several years and retired in 2015. Allan was Past President of USAC. He enjoyed racing, wood working, and painting. Family and friends may show their love and support from 12pm to 1pm on Wednesday, April 13th at Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville. A celebration of life service will be held at 1pm following visitation at the funeral home. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Jones Family Mortuary in Mooresville.
