Alida W. Vanlonden, age 67, died Friday December 9, 2005 at Indiana University Hospital in Indianapolis, IN. She was born on January 29, 1938 in Amsterdam, Netherlands to the late Johannes and Wilhelmina (Spaink) Wijdoogen. She lived in the Netherlands for 22 years before moving to Indianapolis, IN where she lived most of her life.
She was a sales associate for L.S. Ayres - Fritz Williams Department in Downtown Indianapolis for 7 years. She was also a member of Valley Mills Friends Meeting.
She is survived by Cornelius Vanlonden; 2 children: April Vanlonden Degner of Fountain City and Reginald Vanlonden of Minnesota; 3 Grandchildren: Seth Degner, Emily and Ethan Vanlonden; 1 Brother, Rudolf Wijdoogen of VA; 2 Sisters: Mary Keereweer of Netherlands and Erna Bontan of Netherlands.
On Thursday, December 15, 2005 there will be a 1pm Graveside Service at Fairfield Friends Cemetery in Camby, IN with a 2pm Memorial Service to follow at Valley Mills Friends Meeting in Indianapolis, IN. Charles Bunner and Major Charles Kennedy will be officiating the services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pearl S. Buck Foundation.
